Bazil Meade MBE & Elite Members of The London Community Gospel Choir - Live at The Arlington Ballroom!

Simply put, Bazil Meade MBE is the Godfather of British Gospel music. We are honoured that, due to a connection with Martin Johnson — who he has worked with and known for decades — Bazil is coming to Southend and bringing elite members of The London Community Gospel Choir with him for what will be a unique, unforgettable experience.

LCGC have appeared on albums by Sting, Sir Paul McCartney, Elton John, Westlife and Gregory Porter, and performed with Justin Timberlake, Madonna and Kylie Minogue.

If you are not aware of LCGC's work, listen to their fantastic album "Out Of Many One Voice" — it cemented LCGC as a major force in Gospel music around the world and is a work of historical importance. It's the album that announced British Gospel to the world. We will be playing cuts from this album live!

Martin has handpicked his band for this special event, adding Chris Wood on bass — who toured the world with The Spice Girls and has played with Sister Sledge — alongside drummer Davide Giovannini, who has played with Sir Paul McCartney.
